David Parker is the founder of Advanced Energy Systems and a founder of DECK Monitoring. David has a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in renewable energy technologies, over twenty seven years experience in the design and installation of solar energy products. Since 1980, he has been responsible for the installation of more than 2000 solar water heating systems, generating over 4 megawatts, and 100+ solar electric systems, generating over 3.5 megawatts. The combined energy savings to date of these systems is calculated to be over 200 gigawatt hours of electricity. David is the past President of the Oregon Solar Industries Association (OSEIA). David has been a major participant in the development of solar licensing and net metering legislation in Oregon. Working with utilities, he has helped develop and implement solar and energy conservation programs for their customers.

A 13 year veteran of Symantec, one of the largest software corporations in the world, Will Shortt last served as Sr. Director, Global Sales Operations. Will has extensive global experience improving profitability, envisioning and implementing new programs, and driving incremental revenue through better relationships with customers and channel partners alike.  Prior to this role, Will built Symantec’s first online reseller channel for US corporate sales and was a key part of the IBM Business Development team.  Skilled in working with diverse organizations, Will holds a Master’s Degree in International Studies (China Program) from the Jackson School at the University of Washington.
