DECK Monitoring joins SunSpec Alliance

Solar Power International 2012, Orlando, Florida September 12, 2012 – The SunSpec Alliance is pleased to announce that DECK Monitoring (www.deckmonitoring.com) has joined the Alliance and is expected to have its product SunSpec Certified by the end of this month. DECK was recently named by Greentech Media as a North American leader in commercial and utility-scale PV site monitoring. Given the two organization's shared commitment to open architecture, decreasing PV costs, and improving the productivity of solar installations, this partnership is a logical fit.

"We are excited to welcome DECK Monitoring to the SunSpec Alliance", noted Tom Tansy, Chairman of the SunSpec Alliance. "As a pioneer in delivering hardware-agnostic PV Monitoring solutions to market, DECK has been a thought leader in this space. We are looking forward to working together to bring open platforms to the entire PV community".

As for DECK Monitoring, "We have always believed in delighting our customers with our services and value, not in locking them in with our hardware", stated Will Shortt, DECK Principal. "From our inception, we have been committed to the kind of open standards that the SunSpec Alliance is working to bring to the entire PV industry. We fully support that effort and expect to actively participate in the Alliance to bring many new features and benefits back to our loyal customer base and to the industry at large".
